Nuance Communications
Delivered a high-quality Kubernetes Technical Architecture Workshop for Nuance that demonstrably increased their confidence in Google Cloud's container expertise — directly leading to a Professional Services win and positioning the company's first major workload migration.
Challenge
Before Nuance would commit to a major cloud initiative, they needed to validate Google’s Kubernetes expertise. Trust was the prerequisite — not feature comparisons, not pricing, but genuine confidence that Google’s technical team understood Kubernetes at the depth their workloads required.
The workshop was effectively an audition. The outcome would determine whether Nuance moved forward with Google Cloud or continued evaluating alternatives.
Approach
Delivered a Kubernetes Technical Architecture Workshop (TAW) built specifically around Nuance’s use cases and migration requirements. The session went deep — real implementation patterns, practical guidance on their first workload migration approach, and honest discussion of the tradeoffs they’d face.
The goal was not to impress but to inform. If the content was excellent and the expertise was genuine, the trust would follow.
Results
It did. The workshop directly led to a Professional Services engagement and positioned Nuance’s first workload migration to Google Cloud. The customer feedback specifically cited increased trust in Google’s Kubernetes expertise as the reason for moving forward.
“Your delivery increased the customer’s trust in our expertise in Kubernetes. This in turn led to a win for Professional Services and their first workload with Google Cloud.” — Google Account Team
