Challenge

Sabre provides technology infrastructure to airlines worldwide. Their challenge was modernizing that infrastructure using cloud-native tools while maintaining the complete isolation between airline customers that the business required, and meeting aviation industry compliance and real-time performance standards.

Multi-tenant architecture at this level of complexity — where isolation failures have real business and regulatory consequences — required a deliberate, carefully designed approach.

Approach

Led the architecture design for Sabre’s Anthos implementation, developing the tenant isolation patterns, cluster strategy, network policies, and security models that could support multiple airline customers on shared infrastructure without compromising isolation. Addressed aviation industry compliance requirements directly in the architecture design, not as an afterthought.

Also led Sabre’s participation in Google’s Managed Application Delivery (MAD) early access program — providing product feedback from a real travel industry implementation perspective that contributed to the product’s development.

Results

Architecture delivered supporting multiple airline customers with the isolation and compliance requirements the engagement demanded. Real-time performance requirements met for reservation and operational systems.

This engagement represents sophisticated multi-tenant architecture design for the specialized airline industry, demonstrating the ability to design cloud-native infrastructure that meets strict aviation industry compliance and performance requirements.
